NEXT WEEK: Barrett and his team start on the road at Abilene Cooper high school. This will be the start of a two-game road trip before the home opener the weekend of the 14th.
Jalin Marshall Athlete/Wide Receiver Middletown (Ohio) Middletown HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Middletown (0-1) lost a heartbreaker against Cincinnati St. Xavier after leading by 11 points with 4:43 to go in the game, 43-39. THE SCOOP: Marshall tried to will his team on to the upset win with 312 rushing yards and three scores on the ground and a passing touchdown with 87 yards. A last second pass to the endzone fell incomplete however. NEXT WEEK: Middletown travels to Springfield (0-1) to try and get on the win column for '12.

Zeke Elliott Running Back St. Louis (Mo.) John Burroughs HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Burroughs (1-0) won easily against Cape Girardeau (Mo.) Central high school with a 43-14 opening season rout. THE SCOOP: 'Zeke' went off with runs TD runs of 13 and 36 yards en route to four scores on the night. He also had a 49-yard reception and a 60 yard punt return. He ended the night with 112 yards on 15 carries and had 68 yards on two receptions. NEXT WEEK: Burroughs takes on St. Louis (Mo.) Lutheran South (1-0).
Tim Gardner Offensive Guard Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence Central HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Lawrence Central (2-0) remains perfect with a 38-3 win over North Central high school. THE SCOOP: No stats were found. NEXT WEEK: Central will host Meridian (1-1) in a conference game.
Evan Lisle Offensive Tackle Centerville (Ohio) Centerville HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Centerville (0-1) was never able to find a groove in the opening game of the Skyline Crosstown Showdown against Elder and lost at 'The Pit' 34-21. THE SCOOP: Lisle looked good at his right tackle spot but the team did not have much offensive consistency. in spite of a good effort. NEXT WEEK: The Elks play their home opener of the season against Springboro (1-0).

THE SCOOP: St. Thomas Aquinas (0-0) gets things started this weekend in front of a home crowd. NEXT WEEK: It should be a solid week one test against Miami (Fla.) Columbus high school (0-0) for Bosa and his Raiders team.
Tracy Sprinkle Defensive End Elyria (Ohio) Elyria HS Links: Profile	RESULT: Friday night was a big win for Elyria (1-0) over Amherst (Ohio) Steele with a 63-28 blowout win. THE SCOOP: Sprinkle had a huge game with 11 tackles, 2 sacks, 4 TFL and 2 forced fumbles. NEXT WEEK: It's all about in-city pride as Elyria gets ready to host Elyria Catholic (1-0) in a non-league grudge match.
Michael Hill Defensive Tackle Pendleton (S.C.) Pendleton HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Pendleton (1-0) rolled in its season opener against Pickens with a 56-14 win at home. THE SCOOP: No stats for Hill were made available. Pendleton went into halftime with a 49-0 lead so it is safe to say that it was a short night for the starters. NEXT WEEK: Pendleton hits the road to take on winless Westminster (S.C.) West-Oak (0-2) on their field.
Billy Price Defensive Tackle Youngstown (Ohio) Austintown Fitch HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Fitch (1-0) started off the season with a big win over Harding, 24-10. THE SCOOP: Price forced a key fumble on a 4th-and-1 on his team's own 29 yard line late in the 4th quarter with only a one score lead. NEXT WEEK: Price and his Fitch team go on the road to Akron to take on Hoban (0-1).
Cam Burrows Cornerback Trotwood (Ohio) Trotwood-Madison HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Trotwood's (0-1) defense of its 2011 state title got off a tough start with a 33-14 loss to University School (Fla.). THE SCOOP: Burrows returned two punts for a total of 42 yards and also added six tackles on defense. Burrows also got the best of his match-ups with four-star receiver Jordan Cunningham. NEXT WEEK: Trotwood will look to get back on the winning track with a home game against Dayton Dunbar (1-0).
Darron Lee Athlete/Safety New Albany (Ohio) New Albany HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: New Albany (0-1) took a tough loss to start to the season, 10-9 at the hands of Reynoldsburg. THE SCOOP: Lee and his teammates were locked into quite a defensive battle and the versatile athlete finished with just 52 yards passing. NEXT WEEK: New Albany will host Westerville Central (1-0).
Jayme Thompson Safety Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Central Catholic (1-0) demolished Springfield Holland 66-12 in the season opener. THE SCOOP: Thompson didn't even play the whole first half as his team rolled to a victory. Still, his impact was felt with a sack on the first defensive play as well as five total tackles. NEXT WEEK: Thompson and company will host Bedford (Mich) Temperance (1-0).

Brophy Prep Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Brophy (1-1) lost a tough one to Santa Margarita (Calif.) in a nationally televised game, 27-14 THE SCOOP: Allen had a four yard TD run in the loss but that goes along with a 70-yard TD catch that he had in the opener against Glendale (Ariz.) Moutain Ridge. NEXT WEEK: Allen will play his third game in ten days when his team takes on Anthem (Ariz.) Boulder Creek (1-0).
Shelton Gibson Wide Receiver Cleveland Hts. (Ohio) Cleveland Hts. HS Links: Profile | Video	RESULT: Cleveland Heights (1-0) got into the win column to start the season and in a big way with a rout of Toledo St. John's Jesuit 56-24. THE SCOOP: Gibson had a pair of early touchdowns in the game. Click here for his post game interview and highlights. NEXT WEEK: Up next is a game against Cleveland John Adams (0-1).

Academy 20-10 to rally back for a 27-23 win. THE SCOOP: Quick had a pair of touchdowns with one checking in at 78 yards and another one coming in at 77 yards.
